Mary, Queen of Heaven School in Erlanger participated in the North Area counties Regional Science Fair at NKU on March 21 along with students from 30 counties. Of the 17 middle school scientists we sent, each one of them received at least one award. 10 students are eligible to advance to the State Science Fair at EKU on April 4. MQH Middle School students won the School Award at the Science Fair. The award is given to the school that receives the most awards in the seventeen categories of competition. This is the second year in a row that MQH has won the Regional Science Fair. The fair is an annual event that showcases the best science experiments and engineering projects from the northern thirty counties of Kentucky. Successful competition at this level represents not only good science, but also advanced math, writing, and speaking skills. |
